Lee hands over the reigns to friend and comedy colleague Rachel Wheeley, who he booked in for her first gig in January. Rachel takes us through her preparation for the gig at the Yurt, which includes a warm up to 50 babies under the age of one and their mothers. Contains screaming.

Episode 33 – Gigless
A ponderous episode of Joking Around this time as I don’t have a gig booked in. I spend a bit of time thinking about my approach to doing new material. After not coming to much conclusion, I take a trip out to the perennially good Freedom Fridge and catch up with the one and only Rachel Wheeley. She’s also starting to do some new material herself so we chat about that. Just a quick thank you, she has kindly allowed me to stick a bit of her set from the gig in too. Lastly, there’s a cameo appearance from Purminder, a work friend, who also popped down to see some live comedy.

This episode perfectly illustrates my continuing dilemma in stand up, when to stick and when to twist? I return to the Freedom Fridge to do my new stuff, which is becoming old, or is it?
