Episode 46 – A Year in Review
‘Tis the season to be jolly, to be fair, I’ve spent the last year (and a bit) trying to share a bit of jolliness, so what better time to reflect on the year and see how far I’ve managed to come in this continually crazy journey into stand up comedy. Often people will use this opportunity to list their achievements but I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface. So I’ve roped the ridiculously funny Rachel Wheeley, my co-pilot on this struggle to make people laugh, to have a rambling chat about what we’ve both done and see if either of us can make head or tail of what we’re doing. It’s a fun chat, which, as I say, is totally unplanned and unprepared. So sit back and enjoy two fools jabber on a bit about something they both love, yet don’t really know an awful lot about.
I plan to keep this podcast going, at the very least until I reach the magic 100 gig target. I will try to do more of this type of podcast as I find it a real inspiration motivator to work harder to get better. I’ll also get Rachel to do a few more guest episodes as I really enjoyed the one she did back in Episode 36. I’m not doing it for the listeners, I get enough recognition and feedback at my live gigs, but if you’re still listening (maybe even from the first episode?) then let me know and I’ll try to make it a bit more creative and get more stand ups on to share their experiences.
